A little background:

I was a pretty embarrassing kid.

When my age was only in the single digits, I’d peruse the self-help section of local bookstores, just for fun. I’d take inspirational quotes I found in sentimental birthday cards or randomly on magnets, and I would read them to my entire elementary school as part of the morning announcements. And yes, I initiated and volunteered for this, because there wasn’t a demand for children to be inspired by magnet quotes at 8 a.m., and there likely still isn’t.

My environment growing up was chaotic, but turning to self-development grounded me.

As I grew older, I started reading, studying, and writing more. I eventually went on to double major in Sexuality and Sociology in college and had hands-on experience learning from psychologists, one of the top sexuality coaches in the US, and, well, myself and my own complicated relationships.

After graduating from college, I packed up and moved to Japan, where I lived for over seven years. Now, you’ll likely find my husband and I traveling in another corner of the globe with our dog, Mikan.

I’m certified as a Life Coach and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Practitioner, and I’ve shared what I’ve learned with clients in private coaching sessions.

These days, though, I’m returning to my roots, sharing little bits of inspiration in a variety of content, from social media posts to long-form articles. You can find some of this work shared on my Instagram, podcast, and in my writing portfolio. I specialize in topics related to relationships, dating, and self-development.
